Seriously, if you understood the nature of wife abuse, you would know that there is what is called 'the cycle of abuse'. Within this cycle of abuse, there is a phase called the Honeymoon phase. This is when the abuser shows remorse for his actions/abuse and will provide vast amounts of love, attention, gifts, etc. To say that Rihanna is messed up in the head or likes this type of treatment is ridiculous. She is simply a woman going through the various stages of abuse. Many women will also recant their statements to the police if their partner is faced with possible jail time. Abuse is all about power and control. That's why mandatory charging and no-drop approaches are effective ways to combat these issues.
