The corporations use the chemicals because they are cheap & the government lets them because they pay them off. It hurts to say that Gwenyth is right. There is a lot of information coming out that our household cleaners & products may likely be the cause of a lot of autoimmune problems as well as allergies and asthma.
They tell you what chemicals are in common soaps, shampoos & makeup & what evidence is out there saying that these chemicals are cancer causing agents. And, there are many loopholes that allow the companies to not list the harmful chemicals at all, namely if it is part of a patented "fragrance" or "trade secret." Companies also have no requirement by the FDA to test the saftey of their cosmetic products.
Its also interesting to see that after the public outcry over BPA in baby bottles, etc., NOW many states are banning them. Because despite saying BPA is perfectly safe...its not.

Gwyenth is an overpriviliged brat.
HOWEVER, more research is coming out that many of our personal products - soaps, shampoos, makeup, etc. do contain chemicals that are known cancer causing agents. The corporations use the chemicals because they are cheap & the government lets them because they pay them off. It hurts to say that Gwenyth is right. There is a lot of information coming out that our household cleaners & products may likely be the cause of a lot of autoimmune problems as well as allergies and asthma.

They tell you what chemicals are in common soaps, shampoos & makeup & what evidence is out there saying that these chemicals are cancer causing agents. And, there are many loopholes that allow the companies to not list the harmful chemicals at all, namely if it is part of a patented "fragrance" or "trade secret." Companies also have no requirement by the FDA to test the saftey of their cosmetic products.
Its also interesting to see that after the public outcry over BPA in baby bottles, etc., NOW many states are banning them. Because despite saying BPA is perfectly safe...its not.

I'm sorry, is there something wrong with being born in America but not particularly agreeing with the American lifestyle? Don't get me wrong, I can't stand Gwyneth Paltrow either, but I take offense to the "America hater" statement. She doesn't hate America just like I don't hate America. (I promise you, this is the only thing she and I have in common.) I simply choose to live a healthier, more global lifestyle. I may not eat bread and butter with every meal or watch 10 hours of TV a day or drive my Hummer places I could easily walk, but I certainly don't hate America. I just choose not the live there.
