I think Hugh Jackman gave an honest, sincere and, most importantly, thoughtful response. It's such a shame that people and certain groups have become so attached to these lables--gay, heterosexual, lesbian--that we try and configure people into these little boxes and denigrate them if they don't fit. For many, sexuality is more fluid and isn't set in stone. Likewise, just because someone is born a biological man or woman doesn't mean their gender identity coincides with their sex.
I know I'll be mocked for what I said, but it really is refreshing that he Jackman believes there isn't anything inherently wrong with being gay.

Hugh and his wife lived in the same suburb of Sydney as I do when they were in Australia. His wife can't have kids and they went through absolute hell with Aussie adoption laws to get their kids. They're really down-to-earth, kind people. Being gay doesn't mean shit in Australia, so I think he's just sick of having to define his sexuality for the gratification of the US media. Why does the US have such a big hang up over what people do in the privacy of their own homes?
