Well, good for him for actually caring about his job. So many celebs are spoiled brats and couldn't act to save their own asses, and that's supposed to be their job: to emote, to perform, not to be trashy.
12, dead on. Anyone who goes from food-starved thin to a muscled-up batman in months (months!) is doing juice. (See also Brad "water balloon muscles" Pitt in "Troy.")
Steroids are probably more common in Hollywood than MLB or the NFL. The gals have their diet pills--oh, I mean yoga (eyeroll)--and the guys have their steroids/cutting agents.
There is more to good acting than losing a lot of weight and looking like skeletor. Christian Bale's acting in his last few movies was atrocious. The review of his performance in Terminator in the New York Times was the worst I've ever seen. He has the same expression in every movie.
This time starving himself has caused him to lose most of his hair so he has no chance in hell of regaining leading roles as the handsome young cad. Thank god. His career is over.
I just love how his omnipresent wife is acting like a big star who doesn't want her picture taken. Go back to picking up Winona Ryder's dry cleaning you stupid cow.
He put on HOW MUCH weight? Jesus Christopher that is a TOM of steroids to put on that much weight in that short period of time. And the government is worried about sports??? Test Bale. Damn!
I was wondering if Christian Bale's bad temper results from taking steriods.
I am a practicing physician and I have treated patients who suffer from the side effects of steroids and Bale's body composition in the last Batman movie and in American Psycho closely resembled the body type of my patients who take steroids (the kind of exagerrated puffy muscles).
I'm betting he follows up this movie with binging on steroids. That could lead to a heart attack. A number of celebrities outside professional wrestling have died recently in similar circumstances. I do hope Bale doesn't suffer same fate.

Christian Bale is, deep down, probably as vapid and annoying as every other actor, but I still like him.

Dude made $10M for The Dark Knight.

Could the mood swings be related to "juicing" up or cycling down? Surely everyone knows this by now.

Someone fucking feed that man a sandwich before he drops dead. Starving yourself can make your heart fail.
13, actually I saw footage of him shot between those movies and he was in the middle. Not scrawny but not muscled up yet.

@21
At least this time she's not grinning and showing off her horse teeth.
Bale's acting is becoming mundane. He just looks bored in every film lately.

BUT steroids do cause massive temper tantrums.
