from a writers point of view - Films are about stories and not spfx or even vfx. Why pay an actor/actress $20 million or so when 90% of the budget is fx? There is no acting required in Transformers when the stars are robots that don't exist. Bay is defending his work and playing the political Hollywood angle while Megan is telling it like it is. Either way the movie is crap, 100%.
