I would worry more about the living. Namely making sure creepy Joe Jackson doesn't get his hands on those 3 purely white kids in order to get Michael's money.

I wouldn't put it past someone in the record labels to have done this. Fearful of another media-produced scandal harming his record sales after he dies, this would have been a perfect time for them to kill him in order to maximise record sales. It might sound like a conspiracy theory, but remember Jackson managed to get out of his contract with Sony as it was in their interest to see his financial condition deteriorate so they could get hold of the rights to his records cheaply.
