Ed Gein didn't say that...Edmund Kemper did. Even if that is how it was written in the book, you'd fucking think that the person who adapted it would have made sure not to get serial killers mixed up.
The book was creeptastic. The movie was ridiculously laughable. Especially Christian Bale running around in tube socks with the chain saw. STUPID. But... I have to say, he really DID get the Tom Cruise expression down PAT. Especially when telling jokes and "relating" to fellow humans.
8. Kinda liked the movie and Bale's performance. Laughed throughout the whole thing and actually thought it was a comedy until someone told me otherwise. Good stuff!!
#8 I think it was supposed to be a sort of black comedy. A satire on the shallow, pointless lives of 1980s yuppies. At least, that's how I took it. Either way, it was a good movie but if you haven't read the book, you should. A million times more creepy than the movie.

I guess if you're a talented actor you might be more likely to spot when other people are faking.
It's about time to remake the movie, this time keeping it true to the book. Oddly enough, and more than ever, the perfect guy for the role is Patrick Bateman.
Most of Hollywood hates Cruise and only tolerates him because his films made a lot of money. He seems really psychotic and controlling, it must be a nightmare to work with him.
That actually makes a ton of sense. I hate Tom Cruise's big over-exaggerated fake smiles, couch-jumping, all the ridiculous attempts at displaying real human emotion. He tries to act like this lovable actor guy but deep down he thinks he's got it all figured out and everyone else is "glib".
Loved the book, loved Bale in the movie, hated Mary Harron, every step of the way. She completely simplified the character of Bateman and ruined the soul of the book. It wasn't even so much that she had to leave out for the sake of the movie, but that she obviously didn't read or care about the deeper story in the book.

Bale was great as Bateman. He WAS Bateman, everything that he was in the book, Bale made him in the movie.

Actually he is, by supporting Scientology, a cult (not a religion) that brainwashes its followers and makes them all go broke by requiring that they pay thousands of dollars to advance through the ranks. Please take the monument 3 seconds necessary to Google Scientology before you try to sound like you know what you're talking about.
If scientology is a religion and not a cult then how come only super rich people can join? It costs a boatload of money to belong to that, no legit religion I ever heard of charges a dime.
