Things are too easy for Americans. In the age of mass media exposure and informational availability every individual has sunk within themselves, the Internet becoming a private agent of unrestrained narcissism whereby all that people covet is easily found and forever dangled in front of them, just out of reach. The hyperfocus of media's x-ray lens, guided by the sensibility of a shoal, insecure public steeped in feelings of inferiority and envy lead millions to shuffle half-aware through their lives, all other moments just filler between episodes of illusory, fuzzy-brained roleplaying wherein their Internet Bookmarks serve as stepping stones along a hodgepodge materialistic dream of their own prosaic, pedestrian design.
