PETA often times picks them up off of the side of the road and doesn't even take them to a humane society; they carry all of the tools to kill them right there in the paddywagon. At least give them the chance to be placed in a loving home.

The reason PETA euthanize these animals is because stupid people get a pet, without having a serious think about it, and dump it because they can't look after it. PETA's not the bad guy, the people who got the pet in the first place is. #5, I doubt those shoes are leather because PETA is against all products made from animals.
I wish there could be an enormous cookout outside PETA headquarters one day. Everyone could bring their own meat and grill it up. Maybe call it the Million Ham March.

Really? As it was explained to me by a local PETA member some years ago, they were advocating "euthanizing" ALL pets because of their ideological stance against pets in general. No longer saying this in public was their way of softening their image.
You know, so they didn't come across as bat-shit insane.
This is from the PETA website and is their stance on dog/cat owning:
'Breeding and care of cats and dogs has exploded into a love affair, a sport, and a booming business. This international pastime has created an overpopulation crisis, and as a result, every year, millions of unwanted animals suffer at the hands of abusers, languish in shelters, and are euthanized. Adopting a cat or dog from a shelter and providing a loving home is a small but powerful way to prevent some of this suffering. The most important thing that animal guardians can do is to spay or neuter their animals and avoid buying animals from breeders or pet stores, which contribute to the overpopulation crisis.'
Not everyone at PETA is 'bat-shit insane' but I'm sure they do attract a few weird people wanting to work for them and taking the PETA cause a little too far. I'll admit that some of the things PETA says are a little strange but the majority of what they do is good. Everyone has a right to their opinion though.
