Stoker had written the novel before learning about Vlad Dracula. He liked the name, so he took it for the vampire character in his novel. Vlad the Impaler AKA The Shield of Christendom, didn't inspire the character, just the name.
Uh, everybody in the world is everybody else's distant cousin or uncle or whatever if you're ready to look far enough. This little tidbit of info don't mean shit, except to the fat teen cutters and forty-something spinsters with rat hair and 17 cats that follow this shithole franchise.
GLAAD the Impaler? Holy shit that's funny. On a side note, Ancestry.com just confirmed that I am related to Lex Luthor, which is coincidental because I have a new movie coming out where I play an evil genius.

Hmmm.... Stephanie Meyers does have to give 10% of her royalties to the church. Surely they wouldn't have a vested interest in promoting movie and book sales.
Just to be accurate, #12, Ancestry is owned and run by Mormons but not by the church itself. I'm an ex-Mormon myself and can give you a zillion reasons that they're almost as scary as Scientologists, so there's no reason to spread disinformation about them. The truth is wacky enough.

Uh, yeah, except Vlad wasn't a vampire. People are just dumb. Pattinson looks more masculine than George Clooney looked at his age. There are just some dumb statements made especially regarding young male actors where people try to impugn their sexuality. Some of you talk about the immaturity of the twihards, but you sound like a bunch of 12 year olds. I'm glad one of you knows what MOST women think lmao. What a bonehead statement.
