  1. We've already had a Batman film with the Riddler in it, and it fucking sucked. This new Batman franchise that started well with Batman Begins is going down the same road that the Tim Burton/Michael Keaton one did.

  2. Batman movies need to retire.

  3. Christopher Nolan made one good movie, Memento.

  4. I kept commenting throughout Inception that this guy looked just like Heath Ledger in the facial features, but I think the resemblance is too strong for him to play a character in the Batman films; it's what people will focus on.

  5. I don't understand why people always compare Gordon Levitt with Ledger. Sure they KIND OF look similar in the face, and they were in like what, one movie together.. and yeah.. that's it.

  6. Can they get someone less gay to play The Riddler? Is he going to do a series of drive by spankings?

Joey is gayer than nine guys fucking eight.

  7. There already was a Victor Zsasz in Batman Begins.

  8. The penis in ass casting choice intrigues... hmm...

  9. i think people make the assumption based on the fact that christopher nolan is known to work with actors he has worked with before.. i dont see levitt being bad for the role as i thought he was pretty damn good in inception!

  10. The Riddler was way less gay than this guy.

  13. I think it's a good casting choice. F*ck you haters.

  14. There's a big difference between The Riddler and The Joker. One asked riddles and the other told jokes.

    Duh.

Now, I'd like to see Stephen Colbert as The Bookworm...

  15. I wouldn't expect Lex Luthor ... since he's a Superman villain.

I'm busting balls. Keep up the good work. I love the Zsasz / DDL idea.

  16. Mel Gibson as Amgry Man
(I know it was in that Ben Stiller movie, but it's a natural!)

  17. JGL was born to play 'The Riddler'. He's the best choice and I'll tell you why. 1.) He's not quite a Mega-Star and not quite a Bum. This role will catapult his career into the stratosphere. 2.) He's a very competent actor and will stop at nothing to give the character it's due. 3.) He's grown up and matured alot since his '3rd Rock' days and people who have seen INCEPTION will agree. 4.) Any Mega Star will command a HUGE pay rate (20-25 Million) and anyone that big probably doesn't need this role because they are already up there. It should be for someone mid-level to propel them higher. 5.) The Riddler is theatrical and eclectic and desperately wants to be his own man... He takes a back seat to no one and will not stand in anyone's shadow. JGL can act and he can pull off Riddler's idiosyncrasies to the letter. And Finally 6.) His physique is damn near prototypical, slender and tall. If Dude isn't cast as 'The Riddler' I'll still watch BATMAN III but it won't be as good with anyone else.

  18. a lot of people hated on the choice of heath for the joker and look how that turned out. Nolan can do no wrong right now.

  19. I love Joseph Gordon Levitt but David Tennant should play the Riddler!!!

    By anonymous, on July 21, 2010 07:54:57

  20. I'd prefer The Scoutmaster.

  21. I'm surprised that you like Mysterious Skin. It's a great movie but I can't really picture you being serious/respectful during it.

    By anonymous, on July 21, 2010 08:42:23

  22. Really? The dweeb from third rock from the sun? Oh well.

...isn't Levitt just an undead version of Heath Ledger and isn't The Riddler basically The Joker without the higher prescription dosage?

    Uhhh, and the problem is...?

  23. Um, no tits, no bikini, not a chick. Who cares?

  24. He was on Jeopardy playing for a "charity" that thinks there are too many humans on the planet. I'm waiting for him to kill himself to save the Earth. Please.

  25. I only got one thing to say: Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin. But hey, JGL as the Riddler sounds good to me.

    By anonymous, on July 21, 2010 11:39:38

  26. JGL + Cobra Commander = Not good with comic characters

    By anonymous, on July 21, 2010 12:04:36

  27. If he's just going to work his way through the cast of 10 Things I Hate About You, I look forward to seeing Larisa Oleynik in a Catwoman suit. And Larry Miller as Mr. Freeze.

By Larry Miller, on July 21, 2010 15:50:25

  28. I agree that he wasn't the right choice for 'COBRA Commander'. But that doesn't mean that he should be Forbidden to ever play any comic character ever again. Cobra Commander is pure evil, calculating and merciless. From a physical stand point, someone bigger should have played him. Maybe someone like Paul Walker (the dude from 'Running Scared') someone with that kind of build. However, The Riddler is thin and lean... not a huge man at all. What he lacks in size he makes up for with devious plots and tricks. He's animated and high-energy but even still very dark and insidious. I'm a Batman fan so, yeah I get in to it. Oh yeah who's David Tennent? Never heard of him. Phillip Seymour Hoffman could be good, but he's not 'the Penguin' material. But if it came down to him or say Jonah Hill, it's gotta be PSH no brainer.
