20. I don't believe that being in jail really improves people or causes them to alter their behavior in a positive way.
    
    However, it is possible that Lindsay Lohan will finally re-evaluate her life and decide to stop abusing drugs. If her short time in jail causes Lindsay to give rehab a serious try, then it will have been a positive experience for her.
    
    It is difficult for celebrities who mess up their lives, just as many people do, because if you or I went to jail for a few weeks, we wouldn't have people blogging about it or reporters taking our photographs. Lindsay's probation violation is an offense against the law, but it's hardly a crime on the scale of the massive financial fraud that nearly put the global economy into another Great Depression or the criminal negligence of British Petroleum that has polluted the Gulf of Mexico's coastal waters for the next 50 years...and nobody here is mad at those people, just a confused, spoiled girl whose parents are not ever going to win Parent of the Year awards.

    As for seeking out Downey, He's said that stopping his drug use wasn't hard, the hard part was deciding that he WANTED TO STOP. He was arrested for drug use, firearms violations, drunk driving and he still didn't want to stop. He even wandered into a strangers home and fell asleep on a child's bed. He needed the time in JAIL.

    Downey said, in court, that heroin was like a gun held against his head, his finger was on the trigger and he LIKE IT. Those were HIS words. He loved the drug so much that he had to decide if he loved life more. He did and now he's a success story.
