That's pretty freaking cool. My only concern is that its too much of a hit and people go overboard and be like, "They should Remake 'THE CROW'." Uh NO, they shouldn't.
Sorry, I gotta be the voice of dissent. Ledger's performance was mediocre. He looked like a dirty greaseball extra from Godfather more than the Crown Prince of Crime. I'm not saying Nicholson was a better Joker nor Romero. Hamill catches the closest voice work that resounds most true to the comic book, but he only does the animated stuff. Don't know if he could pull off the visual, too.
Probably not, actually I'll say definitely not. But that doesn't mean his performance wasn't deserving of it.
There was a lot of oscar buzz around his performance long before he died, but the catch 22 is had he lived and not been nominated/won people would have said it was because it's 'just a superhero movie'. However, now a lot of people assume he only won because of his death.
I don't think Nolan would do the cameo if he didn't think it was a good transition into the new story and handled with class.
I usually cringe when I hear stuff like this, but if it's true I'm sure Nolan and Co. will do it properly and respectfully. Anyone else think it might be a scene with Hugo Strange as the Arkham shrink?
...but Christopher Nolan couldn't make a bad movie if he tried
Uh, what? Ha ha ha. Pull your tongue out of this guy's asshole, bro. Inception was a stupid and insipid film with no real plot or point. Yes, the Batman films are better, but still, nothing to get all creamy in your pants over.
Inception was just a hyped-up, technology-updated, retooling of Dreamscape. It was complete crap that is summed up by a two minute video by College Humor and by South Park.
Batman Begins was a decent film when compared to the previous three Batman films. It wasn't anything astonishing beyond the fact that it revived the franchise. Dark Knight Returns was just awful. Movie franchises need to get out of this habit and thinking that sequels have to have more villains. The stories get watered down and suck.
18 - please, only morons think Inception was a "complex" film. Anyone with half a brain could see it for the overstuffed, overwrought, overwritten nonsense that it was. Before he even covered the concept of entering another person's dreams and its various ramifications we were three levels deep (or was it four?) in people dreams to go after some ridiculous goal without any real or worthwhile merit. Oh and the subplot with DiCrapio and his wife was laughably stupid and bolted-on the crudest way.
Sorry, but many of these issues were covered far better in the first Matrix film, among many others.
Inception sucked, get over it. Get beyond the razzle dazzle hype, special effects and feeling you're part of the "initiated" if you followed the inane plot twists of this silly film and see the flick for what it really is: a third-rate thriller.
I realize it's fashionable and hip to bash INCEPTION but come on. Just because it wasn't about a mystical land of people who love nature and defeat the bullies doesn't mean it sucked. I have never seen a movie get Crucified the way Inception does on a consistent basis. Stop Hating. James Cameron's 'Avatar' only has so much sperm to swallow down.
#19, Do you think before you type or just wing it? If you honestly think South Park or College Humor summed anything up, even with comedy, or seriousness, then you have no idea what you're talking about. Wow it had a small parady of it by people, it must be super stupid. Lmao, you're an idiot, killer.

Can't make a bad movie? Inception.

God, what a loss Heath Ledger's passing was. He was so talented.
And Lindsay Lohan is still alive and well.

Most over rated performance ever.

#2, why because Hollywood should only rape people while they live? Dude come on, they don't stop fucking people just because they die.

If done as Nolan says it will be, this may be one of the coolest elements in a movie in years.

Heath Ledger did an amazing job as the Joker. I wonder, though, if his role would have gotten as much attention if he didn't pass away.

Any way. Let the dead lay.

bad movie #1: Batman begins
bad movie #2: dark knight.
sure heath was good, but the rest, the ending especially, ruined the whole movie.

this story is not true
By anonymous, on December 1, 2010 04:53:47
6 & 13, totally agree. Ledger basically channeled Cesar Romero from the TV series. His Joker was no better than Jack Nicholson's portrayal.
By anonymous, on December 1, 2010 05:25:40
They should let Joseph-Gordon-Levitt or whatever his name is, fill in for Heath. He's been trying to emulate him since forever.
Hamill is brilliant as Joker's voice.
