Joe Francis is a genius this has nothing to do with gay friends. When they inevitably split she will have no rights to his fortune pre or post civil union. With a prenuptial agreement she would be entitled to money he made after the marriage. This way she gets nothing.
#7 is correct. Joe's claim that its all for the love of gays and their lack of rights is just a candy-coated way to avoid all the hoopla involved with marriage and prenups. Clever. And she must be a complete idiot anyways, the proof is in her choice of quasi "husband". Joe is a douche and honestly I would pay SOOOOO much dinero if I could just see the humiliation he endured when they shoved a creamy candelstick up his ass. Who knows, maybe his beard shoves things up his ass....we all know he likes it that way anyways.
#7 and #8 are idiots. U.S. citizens who get legally married in a different country still have a legally valid contract in U.S. courts. He'd be an idiot if he didn't get a prenup, because getting married in Mexico isn't going to exempt him from U.S. marriage laws.
