More than that, The Tourist for COMEDY? Ok i only saw the original movie (w Sophie Marceau). But then again, imdb says its a "Action | Drama | Thriller", just like the original one. What kind of fucking PR-Gag is this? Looks like its quite a mess at the box office... The Globes are dead for me.
I couldn't give less of shit about these narcissistic assholes patting themselves on the back yet again about how great they are that they can play-act for a living. These jackasses vomit up awards for themselves every other goddamn week. Don't get me wrong, I find movies mostly entertaining, but these fucking people get paid MILLIONS to learn some lines, make some facial expressions, and often times get naked and have simulated sex with other good-looking actors - THAT'S FUCKING REWARD ENOUGH! So they can take their stupid little statues and shove them straight up their asses; I, for one, stopped wasting my evenings on their circle-jerk awards shows a long time ago.
All Angleina movies, save for Lara Croft, bomb but nobody ever focuses on that. The media just pretends Angelina is a big star and everybody loves her and Jennifer Aniston's movies are the only ones that bomb. But they both pretty much only do forgettable bombs. Jen does stupid romcoms and Angelina does action and then serious (read pretentious) dramas that nobody wants to see, yet she gets honored. Big deals are made when Angelina movies open, then they do poorly and fade away and nobody comments. For examples: Gone in Sixty Seconds, Original Sin, Life or Something Like It, Beyond Borders, Taking Lives, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Alexander, A Mighty Heart, Beowulf, Changeling, Wanted, Salt. All crap and box office duds. The only success was Mr. and Mrs. Smith and that was due to the publicity of having an affair with her married co-star and flat out lying about it. Angelina is a stuck up, phony, lying, pretentious, fake bitch.
I haven't heard anything good about "The Tourist" other than the fact that Depp is in it so I'm surprised to see it nominated here. I'm tempted to go see it just to see how awful it really is.
by far the worst line up of movies i've ever seen in my 38 years. bad actors. bad movies. bad directors. just bad all around. sign of the times. it's pretty much over.
Didn't see Social Network, but I bet that will win over Inception. Even though I liked Inception a whole lot and couldn't care about some biopic about the asshole who made millions on a stupid website.
Yeah of course social network will win. Especially since its about faceblock, everyone loves faceblock. If more things were about faceblock everything would be so awesome. I got a fever and the only prescription is More faceblock. Inception isn't supposed to win an academy award, that's fine. The oscar and other awards like it are bought and sold in underground bunkers. But anything about faceblock just rules. I've never seen the social network and probably never will but movies that define a generation and blah blah blah are usually shoe-ins. when I say 'face' you say 'block'! 'Face!' _____ "Face!' _____
