I'm pretty sure that people might have a vague understanding of who she is because she has a titanically popular television show. Or because she's made a few pretty funny movies.
Not sure her show is "titanically popular" considering her joke in the monologue was about having the #1 book in America and the #86 ranked television show... that said, I love Tina Fey. Todd is wrong about this one.
So she's doing Palin again. Hmmmm, I've never seen comedians do characters over and over again. Yeah, right. Most comedians have some character they've done a lot more than Fey has done Palin. Todd just bumped his head. I don't watch Saturday Night Live, but let's be real here.
For those that haven't seen it, defenitely watch the Lonely Island/Michael Bolton vid from SNL this past week on youtube. Much, much, much better then another Palin impersonation.

That 'titanically popular television show' keeps finishing in third place in its time slot on NBC's Testpattern Thursday even when you include the same day DVR numbers.
In terms of relevance, she might as well be doing Dana Carvey's Church Lady character. But I suppose you have to use what little you have.
Keep yakking on about Palin, the strawman set up by liberals to fool ordinary voters into thinking she represents the conservative/republican side. Come the campaign in 2012 you're gonna be in for a BIG surprise once the real candidates come out, and it won't be an alaskan pig with lipstick on.

Tina Fey is obviously a closet lesbian lusting after Sarah Palin, and doing it in the most mature and dignified way possible - like some six year old constantly pulling a girl's pigtails on the school playground. It's gone so far beyond being not funny it's turned genuinely creepy. This couldn't be more "Single White Female" than if they were actually making the sequel.
Hey, you know ... I will never tire of comedians taking every single shot they can at the politicians, loud mouths and corporations that are running this country straight into the ground. They are really the only weapon the rest of us seem to have.
