Those poor people, those poor simple minded people. Those poor simple minded and diluted people. I truly feel sorry for them, they lost a daughter (an addict, an alchoholic, a fuck up, not a very good singer, all hype type artist, didn't care about her own life, pissed it away because she couldn't change) but a daughter all the same. Her family are the ONLY ones who should mourn, every one else is full of shit.
Another post about Amy? Give it a rest. The poor women is deader, than Tiger Woods career. Besides everyone knows she died of a terminal case of "UGLY". Peace and Love for you Amy
It must be so terrible to be so out of touch that you say the exact wrong thing at the wrong time. Her family deserves a lot of the blame for her death; they didn't do what was necessary to help her. Now, they're trying to aswaige their guilt by creating this fantasy that "she was drug & alcohol free and not drinking is what killed her"; how sad. One day, they may come to realize that she wanted to die, and had been looking for a way out for years. Finally, she got it...
But the dead slut bought a bunch of drugs and alcohol on the day she died. WTF are they talking about.
Fuck you to all the sensitive assholes here. She was a drug addicted cunt and I'm glad she's dead.
No sympathy. Fucking people feel sorry for people who shoot themselves up full of drugs. I bet these are the same assholes who feel sorry for criminals who get drunk and kill people in auto accidents. People feeling for sorry for assholes. Pathetic.
What the hell were her parents doing while their daughter was self-destructing? As far as I could tell, nothing. Her dad, however, seemed more than happy to go on tv or give interviews to mags about how terrible his daughter's situation was. Something didn't seem right about it.
Look at what Britney's dad did. He saw his daughter was self-destructing, he took over and didn't let things get out of control. THAT's a father. Not some publicity-seeking opportunist who throws up his hands helpless whenever they ask him what to do about Amy. This is the real scandal here.
Well, if she was abstinent for a while, it might well have contributed to her death. A common scenario for drug overdose is as follows:
1. Addict builds up high tolerance for drug. 2. Addict becomes clean for a while, tolerance declines. 3. Addict falls off the wagon, takes drug again, at the same dose they last consumed. However, because they're no longer tolerant to the drug, it kills them.
alcohol withdrawal is a real thing. Going cold turkey for a severe alcoholic, can be life-threatening if not properly treated. And it could indeed kill someone if not under supervision. She should have been detoxing in a hospital.
Elvis Costello said it best, after he finally cut waaay back on the booze and stopped doing drugs. "Fuck this Brendan Behan idea about a romantic death. Someone in your family will have to bury you."
She was 27 years old. That's nine years past the time of blaming her parents. As a self made millionaire she didn't need to listen to her parents. Do any of us?
I think amy was young in her walking shoes. Fame hit her very quickly.Amy was a very instrumental muscian that had a brillance far beyond her years.
I suggest that people who are critical watch her BBC concert live from 2007. Amy showcases her real talent of jazz and blues. I think Amy Winehouse was a amazing talent who wrote her own songs, and had the chance to record with the great Tony Bennett you decide? I think the world should be a little kinder to Amy.
#7 WTF did you expect him to do? It's not comparable to Spears, she had/has mental issues Amy was an addict. I don't even think its possible to do what Jamie Spears did in Britain anyway. As most people who have dealt with addicts know there comes a point when you can do no more, no matter how much you love them.
As much as I think Whino was an absolute twat who got exactly what was coming to her, it's definitely true that alcohol withdrawal can be pretty nasty. It must be true cause I saw it on House.

Yes, people can die from quitting booze/drugs cold turkey. Of course, that's after ~48 hours, not 2.
By anonymous, on July 29, 2011 09:26:42
Nope doesn't happen that way.

Her dad and Casey Anthony's dad look so much alike. There must be a certain personality for that type of man to raise fucked up daughters.
