Oh Boo Hoo

Director Roman Polanski is still sitting in a Switzerland jail awaiting extradition to the United States for drugging and sodomizing a 13-year old girl in 1977. But apparently his wife and two kids are "very upset psychologically" about being separated from such a wonderful man. MSNBC reports:
Polanski has proposed "very significant" bail money, house arrest and other assurances to find freedom, Herve Temime told the daily Le Figaro. His 76-year-old client "will not accept extradition to the United States," he said. U.S. authorities want Polanski to face justice in Los Angeles for having sex with a 13-year-old 32 years ago. A Swiss court official said this week that a bail decision was expected in 2 to 3 weeks. Polanski, who was arrested Sept. 26 as he arrived in Zurich to collect a film award, is "very courageous" and "I have never heard him complain," Temime said. However, his wife, Emmanuelle Seigner, an actress and singer, and his two children are "very upset psychologically by this separation that is a true heartbreak" for them, he said.

I'm going to go out a limb her and say that being drugged and raped in the ass then having to sit on a donut pillow at the premiere of Star Wars might make you "very upset psychologically" a little more than daddy not being home because he's captured fugitive. If Polanski was a man and accepted the fact that he was convicted and served his time, his wife and kids wouldn't be suffering right now. Instead he chose to run like a little girl being chased by a bee to France. Since he was convicted, there is no statute of limitations, and more importantly, I have zero sympathy for this man. If the definition of "extradition back to the United States" suddenly changed to "being ripped apart by a fisherman with a hook for a hand", I would see if my buddy Joe could get me a discount on that dictionary at Barnes & Noble.

Roman Polanski Is Depressed

For the last 30 years, Roman Polanski has escaped justice for the drugging and raping a child. Two weeks ago he was arrested in Switzerland and is being held in jail pending his extradition back to the United States. That make him sooo sad :( THR reports:

Director Roman Polanski is feeling depressed two weeks after his arrest in Switzerland to face U.S. extradition for a 1977 case involving the rape of a 13-year-old girl, his lawyer was quoted as saying on Sunday. "I found him to be tired and depressed," Herve Temime told the Sonntag newspaper, one of two newspapers he talked to after visiting the Oscar-winning director in a Zurich prison. "Roman Polanski, who is 76, seemed very dejected when I visited him," Temime told another newspaper, NZZ am Sonntag. "Polanski was in an unsettled state of mind."...Temime told the Sonntag newspaper the Swiss Federal Penal Court should decide "very soon" on his bid for release on bail. "He would fulfill all the conditions and stay in Switzerland until the extradition proceeding are decided," he said. The director, who holds dual French and Polish citizenship, was arrested at the request of the United States when he flew into Switzerland on September 26 to receive a life-time achievement prize at a film festival.

Man, I wonder what we could do to make jail more comfortable for a fugitive child rapist? Perhaps he would care for a nice seaweed wrap and some arometherapy candles? Or maybe a hot chamomile tea and a Snuggie? I mean, because if anything, being in jail for raping a child should at least be relaxing.

Since I was reminded three times this weekend why Sophia Bush is so damn hot, here she is instead of a child rapist. Awesome!:

His Xanax Brings All The Girls To The Yard

It was only a matter of time before somebody found a Roman Polanski on To Catch a Predator video, and leave it to the great ONTD to find it. Roman Polanski may have escaped justice, but little did he know he would never escape the greatest mashup of all time!

Also, for everyone defending Polanski and making him out to be a helpless victim of an evil Los Angeles court system, you might want to check this out. You know, instead of a documentary that firmly had it's head in Polanski's lap:

They All Want To Free Roman Polanski

Just in case you thought it was sexual deviant Europeans and pervert Hollywood directors who believe that Roman Polanski has suffered enough by living in France as a celebrated hero after he fled the country to avoid sentencing for drugging and raping a 13-year old girl, be prepared to punch a hole in your wall. Harrison Ford, Natalie Portman, Tilda Swinton, Gael Garcia Bernal, and John Landis have all signed the petition to free Roman Polanski. Thanks, Harrison Ford. Maybe you can talk to Bert and Ernie and reanimate Mr. Rogers to get them to sign too, so you can make sure my childhood is completely ruined.

You can see the full list of advocating assholes HERE (via the great ONTD), then you can sign the counter petition HERE.

Natalie Portman in 1996. Polanski would so hit that:

Chris Rock > Whoopi Goldberg

You should already have plenty of reasons to love Chris Rock and plenty of reasons to hate Roman Polanski, but let me add one more.

Whoopi Goldberg Has It All Figured Out

Using the time she watched that Roman Polanski documentaryher law degree and years of extensive courtroom experience as the foundation for her comments on The View yesterday, Whoopi Goldberg said that what Polanski did "wasn't rape-rape." Really? Awesome. Because I was under the impression that drugging and holding a 13-year old against her will then sodomizing her was kinda illegal. I think I thought that, because well, it fucking is. It doesn't matter if a chick looks 22 and is grinding on your lap and smoking black tar heroin as her mom shows you her Spartan Army gangbang video, if she's 13 and you stick your dick in her ass, you're going to jail. I'm not really sure how else to explain that. If I shoot someone, my excuse can't be "well, he's been shot before and his mom was cool with it." I really hope this clears up any misconceptions you might have before you start thinking Girl Scouts know how to party, you sick fuck.

You know, since Whoopi wasn't actually there when it happened, it might be a good idea to hear the story from somebody who was. Like the victim. You can read her grand jury testimony HERE, but be warned, you may never let your child leave the house again.

And you can read Polanski's plea transcript HERE. Don't forget to read the part where he admitted knowing Samantha was 13.

Roman Polanski Is Mad

After spending thirty-two years living the life of a carefree sociopath in France and three days as a child rapist in a Zurich detention center while he waits to be extradited to the United States for raping a 13-year old California girl in 1977, Roman Polanski is reportedly in a “fighting mood” and will fight any and all attempts that will force him to man the fuck up and serve his sentence that he already plead guilty to before running like an escaped slave. Yes, shocking I know. MSNBC reports:
Polanski has told Swiss officials that he will contest a U.S. request that he be transferred to the United States, attorney Herve Temime said in an e-mail. Temime said Polanski’s legal team would try to prove that the U.S. request was illegal and that the Oscar-winning director should be released from Swiss custody. “Taking into account the extraordinary conditions of his arrest, his Swiss lawyer will seek his freedom without delay,” Temime said. The lawyer said he was able to speak with Polanski from his Zurich cell and that the director was allowed to meet with his wife, French actress Emmanuelle Seigner. “He was shocked, dumbfounded, but he is in a fighting mood and he is very determined to defend himself,” Temime said. Now a complicated legal process awaits all sides. While France expressed hope that Polanski would be freed shortly, Swiss officials said there would be no rash decision.

To make things perfectly clear, Roman Polanksi drugged and anally raped a 13-year old child. That's all you need to know. He was 42, she was 13, and he gave her a quaalude, refused to take her home when she asked, then fucked her in the ass. It doesn't matter if her mom said it was ok, it doesn't matter if she looked older than 13, it doesn't matter if he's a brilliant director. He stuck his dick in a 7th grader after he drugged her. End of story. You can justify it or reconcile it however you want to make the case for letting this sexual predator go, but then I'd call you a fag and kick your teeth in. Samantha Geimer is the victim, not Polanski. She only wants the case dismissed because she just wants this to be over. Much like how I want Grey's Anatomy to be over.

UPDATE II: I got tired of looking at Roman Polanski's face, so I replaced it with a picture of Glen Quagmire. Heh heh, alllllright.

UPDATE: Here are a list of names in the entertainment industry who have signed the FREE POLANSKI! petition. Woody Allen is obviously no surprise, but fuck you Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, and Darren Aronofsky.

Roman Polanski Finally Got Arrested

Roman Polanski, the director of such classic films as Chinatown, Rosemary's Baby, and Repulsion, was arrested in Switzerland at the Zurich airport today after 32 years of escaping extradition back to the United States to face sentencing for the 1977 statutory rape of Samantha Geimer, a 13-year old girl. Polanski was in Switzerland to receive an award at the Zurich Film Festival and was detained on his arrival into the country.New York Times reports:
Mr. Polanski was detained by the police Saturday upon his arrival at the Zurich airport, said Guido Balmer, a spokesman for the Swiss Federal Justice Department. The director was being held in provisional detention in preparation for a possible extradition to the United States based on an arrest warrant dating to 1978. Mr. Polanski, 76, was convicted that year in a California court of unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl whom he had lured to the home of Jack Nicholson and drugged. Faced with a prison term, he fled the United States just before his sentencing. Samantha Geimer, the girl with whom Mr. Polanski had sex, has since publicly forgiven him. Lawyers for Mr. Polanski sought to have the case dismissed last December, claiming that the release of a documentary called “Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired,” had showed “a pattern of misconduct and improper communications” among Los Angeles officials.

Oh, please. He should be fine. It's no secret that five foot tall 76-year old men who get sent to prison for raping 7th graders are really popular. Just like wife and baby killers. He'll be making friends in no time!
